One of Butterworth Annual Happenings, is the Pre Chinese New Year Pasar Malam which is located in and around the 9 God Emperor Temple Located at Jalan Raja Uda (North). Every Year independent Traders will start setting up alfresco stalls in the Evening/Night approx. 2 months before Chinese New Year, selling various Chinese New Year decoration, food, goodies and many more items which is usually required during the festive period.
Note 1 For 2017.
Chinese New Year will fall on the 28th Of January, The Chinese will be celebrating the Year of
the Rooster.
Note 2 The 9 God
Emperor Temple in Butterworth, is the biggest in the area, Beautifully
Decorated and Lit up at night, it’s one of the Tourist Sites of
