There was this restaurant (Jln Raja Uda)  that open last year, looks very nice , shiny, air condition, that made a hit and impact in the “Economy Rice” market with their 2 shoplots being full and a long line of diners out of the door waiting till 9pm plus, and was like that for months

I hear that their speciality is Pork Trotters, and they dish up like 50 plus or more dish every meal.   After they open up another 3 outlets, BM, George Town, and Chai Leng Park, did the crazy que diminish, and I finally got a chance to try it out.

3.       Free Chinese Tea Is Provided 

4.       Fully Air Conditioned

Verdict ?  :  Well, nice interesting concept of the Economy Rice,  actually reminds me of Sungai Wang Plaza (KL) Economy Rice lay out, except it has much better ambiance, air-condition, well laid out and so on.  There are many those who will like it, and they will be perfectly right to do so.  Personally speaking though I may drop by very occasionally.     

Xi Xang Kaya Kopi Tiam ........

Nasi Lemak with Pyramid Shape rice 

We drop by Sunway Carnival Mall, Seberang Jaya, and as soon as we entered,  my daughters started to say its time for food.   So our choice this time is Xi Xang .  

Xi Xang is one of those cookie cutter type of “new” high class type of Kopi Tiam that churns out local food at air-condition places like malls.  Their Speciality here is their Kaya, Half boil egg and their Nasi Lemak.   -  They also practice as with most places a self ordering system where one is required to note down what one wants to order and handling it over to the staffs. 

We had 4 of their items, Nasi Lemak, Half Boil Egg, French Toast with the Kaya, and Chicken Rice.  I Have to say their half boil egg is done perfectly,  the Nasi Lemak is nice enough,  the Chicken Rice is a bit unusual as it is serve with fried egg,  no problems with the French Toast with Kaya. 

Overall our experience is pleasant, comfortable and friendly …….
