A Bezza Journey  -  Little Features of the Bezza Premium X

For more Bezza post, please click here

The  Bezza is a well thought out car, there are little touch here and there that I do appreciate.

A USB port:  is located where it can be use be all passengers n drivers can access, located just behind the hand brake,  is a 5C 2A which is adequate to keep your device going, there even a little slot there for your device, just that it a bit too small for my 5.5in phone, : - have tested this out,  good power output.

Teh Tarik / Ta Pau Hooks:  there are 2 of them, one on each front seat, a useful feature.  One for hot items, one for cold items …….

The Handbag Hook:  hook your bag there, to keep it safe, from being remove without your permission.

“Touch” the Indicator: it will signal 3 times, nice for changing lanes.

Front Sensor:  Makes parking easier, especially in judging the distance in front

Lock and Unlock Doors :  Located where the front passenger can access, which once activated the back doors cannot be open.

i do have a few items on my wish list i feel will make the car much better.........

1. LED day light lights
2. Auto Cruise
3. CVT Gear
4. There is too much chrome,  i know it look nice, but not where you have to touch like the door handles.

Time to Replace my Redmi Note 3? Redmi Note 5 or MI A2 lite or Mi Max 3

Time to Replace my Redmi Note 3?

update 2:

well i think i can rule out Mi A2 lite (for its processor), I am still debating over
RMN5: reviews of Better Camera performance (but having the same camera module), but compared with Mi Max 3, lesser Batt & smaller screen
or the Mi Max 3, need to purchase Usb C cables / adapters, new pouch,  which will be needed in the future.

Minimum Requirements :
Battery minimum 4000mAh
Memory 64GB

Wish List
Better Specs or Equivalent with the Redmi Note 3
Better Camera Performance in Low Light conditions vs the Redmi Note 3
Pure Vanilla Android
Larger Screen
Price Range -  Budget

Am debating
RedMi Note 5 Vs Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Vs Xiaom Mi Max 3

Redmi Note 5 (China AI Version), has most of the above with a price point of RM939 currently 4/64GB version, only thing missing is that its operating on MiUi.

Mi A2 Lite, has the Vanilla Android, 4K batt, but a slightly inferior chip set 625 vs 636, and a slightly smaller screen, the 4G/64GB version is suppose to be around RM1K imported , equip for Micro Usb

Mi Max 3 the internals of a Redmi Note 5, with a much bigger screen, USB C, and even a larger Battery @5500 Mah, Pricing is supposed to be below RM1199 for the 4/64.

Decisions Decisions Decisions, The MI8, MI8SE, MI Mix 2s price point is too high.
I will wait a bit more to get proper reviews as well as to see the official Malaysian Pricing.

Question to My Self,

1.  A Smaller "by a bit" screen, slightly lower specs, but with Vanilla Android?,  Screen will still bigger the the Note 3
2.  The Exciting Super Big Screen and Battery? but will need new pouch, and purchase at least 3 more USB C cable.
3.  The Same old Same Old unadventurous but safe choice.

Curry Mee @ Yang Way Kopi Tiam, Chai Leng Park

Curry Mee @ Yang Way Kopi Tiam, Chai Leng Park, Seberang Prai

An acquaintance mention that the Curry Mee at Yang Way Kopi Tiam, does not loose out to the Famous Butterworth Curry Mee at Old Market Food court. So one fine Sunday morning we decided a change of Breakfast Venue will do us some good.

Yang Way Kopi Tiam is located near the Chai Leng Park Market, together with a large collection of eateries, that range from standalone food stalls, food courts, kopitiams, cafes and restaurants.  Parking near the Kopi Tiam can be difficult, so we decided to park a distance away near the Pos Office / Wet Market, which also give us a chance to pick up some delicious roast pork from the Market.

Verdict:  Yes,  the curry mee here definitely does not loose out to the more famous stall at Butterworth,  further we can enjoy the curry mee with the roast pork, and also the Seremban Siew Pau which is imported frozen and baked right at the Kopi Tiam it self.

Location :  Yang Way Kopi Tiam is a corner Kopi Tiam, located around the centre of Leboh Kurau 3, Chai Leng Park the Kopi tiam is open for Breakfast and Lunch.

Famous Butterworth Curry Prawns @ Bee See Heong Restaurant

Bee See Heong Restaurant

One famous old school restaurant in Butterworth, Bee See Heong  is a very well know for its Prawns Curry, I have hear many people talking of this place on and off line, however I could not find this restaurant, no matter how many times I drove up and down this short street.  It’s so well hidden, until a friend told me that the restaurant is actual in a Cle de sac / a spur off the Main Road Jalan Kampong Banggali facing some Tennis Court, and Behind Ambassador Kopi Tiam.

My Friend who is a regular there gave me some tips,
1.       The order taker is not rude, that is just his way of order taking
2.       They have a “Limited” Menu
3.       Go early

The Restaurant.

So we drop by early one evening, just two of us, and duly was guided to ordered the following items, Of course the Curry Prawns, Deep Fried Chicken, Kai Lan, Rice and Chinese Tea.

As we were early @ 6.30pm, we got serve very fast with the food, which I believe was precook (to increase service speed) while we were there, the restaurant started to fill up, most patrons ordering about the same items as we did.

My comments, which may not be the same as yours, we had a “Not bad, decent meal” for around RM40. See picture for portion size).

So now I can finally after 4 years say I have been here and done that.  😊   at this Home Cooking Style Restaurant,   Location Map Below, with GPS coordinates to assists.

A Bezza Journey - First Impression Premium X

A Bezza Journey – First Impression (Running in) Driving the Premium X

For more Bezza post, please click here

Firstly, we have to understand that the Beeza, is built for Budget, EEV, Sedan, as such there are to be compromise in the driving pleasure features and built quality.  Overall, I have to say they hit a sweet spot, though personally I feel they miss out two useful “eco” features, an Auto Cruise and CVT gears, which definitely would assists in lowering the fuel Economy.  -  They must have their reasons though.

General Comments:  Generally delightful to drive especially in an urban environment, overall smooth power and pickup, responsive throttle in general, good maneuverability and tight turning circle.  For highway ( I am still keeping below 80kmph as per Sales Advisor / Manual advice as the car is still sub 1K km) the car feels slightly floaty at higher speed.

We are still trying to remember to use the “correct” method as in “warming” up the ECU before actually starting the car, as in press twice on the push start button, before actually start up the car (depress brake & press start button), as advice by some, which I figure no harm in following.

Any road imperfections on the road surface we will definitely felt it, which I understand is due to the High tyre pressure, I have no problems with this as it’s a small price to pay.  There is some “creeking” sound though.

Next up will be
1.  some more of the “features” that I feel are well thought out, in designing the car,
2.  the Fuel Consumption base on a. Urban driving (school and marketing, Adult and kids) b. Highway driving to work,  (70% Highway, speed at 80mph, Adult)
3.  some of the vehicle accessories I have purchase for the car.
4. the 1k inspection
5.  Possible we will be planning a longer distant trips using this vehicle.

A Bezza Journey - Picking up the Premium X

A Bezza Journey – Picking up the Premium X

update :  For more Bezza post, please click here

After all the paperwork and the sop, we have received our new Bezza Premium X, recently.

What are the Gifts Included with the Car?

This is one subject that I noted that most people are curious about in various forums I have visited.  Answer - The Gifts will differ from sale advisor to sales advisor, different models, different place you purchase your car from, and very importantly how loyal are you to the sales advisor (eg: recommendations / purchases) are among the criterial.

Well from what I understand, Umbrella, Car Carpet (Coil Type), Touch & Go Card, Smart Tag and certain gear up accessories are what most people will received.  I got also a Special Gifts Packs of Perodua Branded, Wiping Cloth, Sun Shade, Pen, Sticky Pad,  and Generic USB Cigarette lighter adaptor, Air Perfume.

General Initial Comments

After a through briefing, We were off, heading back home to read the Car Manual, as we are not use to the "new improvements” or features which users of older cars may not have.

Firstly The “Smart Key” – A Gadget with the functionality of a Remote Control, Key, Proximity sensor…….  Now you do not require to haul out the Gadget or even the key to drive or to open the door, as long as the Smart key is with you in your pocket, hanging around your neck or in a bag

Certain “Security features”, built in to the SmartKey are indeed helpful but need some getting use to.
1. “push once” (at the driver door / smart key) just to open the driver door, and push twice, certainly does make sense as we would not like to unlock all the cars at the same time, especially when we are along and there are strangers all around.

2. “Boot only” unlock is another security feature, via the smart key or touching just underneath the perodua logo, useful indeed.  Though I understand some premium cars have a “wave” your feet underneath the boot feature.

The Bezza is an Eco Car, the Dash board / Multi Meter certainly reflects that, there is a general Eco Light that light up, to indicate if you are driving in a fuel saving manner, further to that at the odo meter we can adjust it to show the “Current” fuel consumption, (among others) which is a very useful feature to improve our eco driving habits.

The Engine “Idle” at a very low rev.  around 600 only unlike other cars which usually have a much higher around 900 to 1k range.

The “Ta Pau” hook have a weight limitation of 3kg.

The Gifts Pack
Perodua Branded Sunshade & Pen, Sticky pad
Cigarette socket adapter for usb phone cable, air perfume, umbrella, a cleaning cloth.

A divisible Luggage Net
with built in 8 hooks in the booth, to keep your loose items from moving around.   - part of the package

Tanjung Bungah Market Food Court

Tanjung Bungah Market Food court use to be one of my regular place for breakfast those days when I was staying in the area(open mainly for breakfast other then pasar malam night) with most food selling out by lunch, thought there are a few that specialise meals for lunch time.  Overall, after the recent refurbishments by the MBPP, more stalls ie (more verity) has open up, giving the diners more choice at reasonable rates.

The food court houses around 50 stalls, in 3 separate areas,   mostly selling Chinese Penang Favourites, however other type of food is also available, and most of them are in the upper bracket in terms of taste.  Top on my list here is the Char Koey Teow (Corner Shop), Chee Cheong Fun (Pg Style) as well as the HK Chee Cheong Fun,  Hokkian Mee - Penang Hokkian Mee ) and  Chicken Rice (Corner Shop) is open for late breakfast and early lunch.

Most days there is also a Mini Pasar Pagi, selling cloths, general necessities, trinkets, around the food court and the market lobby area in the Mornings.  If not mistaken there is a hall on level 1 as well for those who require event space. I also notice a number of tour guides bringing in tourist for a walkaround the market.
